The Changemakers Festival is gigantic. It’s a national event run by The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) in Adelaide for, by and about people who are driven to make the world a better place.
This year’s is only the second festival ever and will be for 10 days in October. You can expect a national program events on everything from sustainability initiatives to services addressing particular social issues.
It’s run like a fringe festival – anyone can submit an event that relates to social change and innovation, and they can hold it anywhere in Australia, or even as a virtual event online.
Have an event idea? Sign up for the host newsletter to for a heads-up on how to do that.
I’m also looking for organisations who would like to be aligned with the festival as sponsors. Drop me a line to talk more.
One of my favourite things about working on this project is that I get to work with my friend Tom Dawkins for the first time in about a decade. It was Tom and the organisation he founded while at uni, Vibewire, that first introduced me to the idea that these kinds of events even existed, and led me to This Is Not Art which has had such a profound effect on my life and work.
